BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. — A new fire in Butte County prompted evacuations Wednesday night for zones in the area of Forbestown which have since been lifted.
Cal Fire says the Purple Fire at 11 acres as of 6:51 p.m. on Wednesday, they say the fire is in the area ofDickerson Lane, S/W of Robinson Mill.
The Butte County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) issued evacuations in the area around 6:45 p.m. that have now been lifted.

Watch Duty says that as of 6:46 p.m. forward progress has been stopped on the fire, we have reached out to fire officials for confirmation but have not yet heard back at this time.
