The events of that night Nana Chaichanhda from Stockton, California, remembers with a shudder of horror.
She was woken up by her 8-month-old pit bull Sasha’s loud barking and knocking on the front door. When the woman let her in, she began to bark loudly at the woman, which was very unlike her.
Suspecting something was wrong Nana looked out of the window and saw that her cousin’s house next door was on fire. The woman immediately ran to get her daughter!
When she reached the bedroom, she saw the dog already there dragging her 7-month-old daughter off the bed by the diaper. The dog was trying to save the child ahead of the mother.

The firefighters arrived in a matter of minutes, but the house next door was already beyond saving and Nana’s accommodation was rendered uninhabitable due to the damage to the roof.
Fortunately, Nana’s cousin was not at home, so no one was hurt. Nana thanks the pit bull for saving her life as well as the lives of her children: 9-year-old son, 8-year-old daughter and the baby:
I owe her everything. If it wasn’t for Sasha, I would have still been in bed, and things could have taken a worse turn
By the way, according to the woman, it was a rare night when she left the dog outside, and it saved them.
