The Shape Of You hitmaker added to his showstopping look with a crisp white shirt which featured a multicolured stripe down the middle, with Ed also donning pink socks and loafers.

Showing their strong friendship, the duo then looked at each other and burst out laughing as the very short clip came to an end.

Leaving fans unsure of what the exciting update will bring, Ed simply captioned the video: ’25th June’.

Ed’s most recent album No. 6 Collaborations Project was released in 2019 and contained the number one singles I Don’t Care, Beautiful People and Take Me Back To London.

Ed sent fans into a frenzy last month after appearing to hint at new music in a cryptic social media post.

He took to Instagram to share a photograph of himself holding a guitar as he teased in the caption: ‘Somethings cookin’.’

Elsewhere, Ed revealed the latest rising star he has signed to his record label, Gingerbread Man Records, in a new Instagram post on Tuesday.

Ed said he has enjoyed some ‘great’ writing sessions with Maisie and the duo are set to release a new single together – Psycho – with Steve Mac on July 2.

Maisie, who recently made her U.S. TV debut on The Late Late Show with James Corden, has spent the past three years honing her craft in sessions across London, LA and Nashville.

Following the singing announcement, Maisie says: ‘Signing to Gingerbread is a dream come true.

‘I grew up inspired and in awe of Ed, like many other 13 year olds who heard Lego House for the first time, so, it’s kind of amazing and hard to believe that I get to be the 21 year old who is able to call him and the whole Gingerbread team now friends, family and mentors for life.’
